The Enola Gay is the plane that nuked the Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945.  The Enola Gay is a B-29 Superfortress bomber.  It dropped "Little Boy", the first atomic bomb ever used in warfare.  The Enola Gay's front portion was exhibited at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) of the Smithsonian Institution in downtown Washington DC.  In 2003, the entire B-29 Enola Gay was restored and went on display here at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
