This is the "Institute of Contemporary Art" or "ICA" under construction. When completed, this will be the first art museum to be built in Boston in nearly 100 years. It is scheduled to be open in December, 2006. The building was designed by the architectural firm of Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The ground floor will be open free to the general public, with gift shops and Wolfgang Puck's Water Cafe. As a reference, this picture was taken Monday June 20,2005 at 1:08 PM. To the left of this construction, in the distance, you can also see the white canopy style roof line, entrance to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
